Eugene Small Obituary

Graveside services for longtime Cortez resident Eugene Victor Small will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 at Cortez Cemetery.

Eugene was born January 30, 1922 in Dolores, Colorado the son of Benjamin Franklin and Luyza (Tibbits) Small. He passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Vista Grande Inn Nursing Home at the age of 96.

Surviving Eugene are his daughter, Victoria Ramona McGuire (Harold) of Parker, AZ; his two grandchildren, Justin Eugene McGuire (Brandy) of Parker, AZ and Jolene Ramona McGuire of Overland Park, KS; his siblings, Alta Phillips of Cortez, CO, Hazel Goodrich of Denton, TX, Frank Small (Lettie) of Los Angeles, CA, Bill Small of Farmington, NM, Judy Byers (Larry) of Bouse, AZ, and Nate Small (Cathy) of Toelle, UT. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ramona Small; his children, Eugene Victor Small Jr., David Arthur Small and James Allen Small; an infant grandchild; his sister, Patsy Palmer; and infant sister, Frances Small.
