Charles Lawrence Wilber (aka 'Brophy', 'Larry', and/or 'Chuck'), age 77, passed away peacefully in the care of hospice near his home in Las Vegas, NV on Sunday June 11, 2017 from complications from pancreatic cancer.
Charles was born April 4, 1940 in Lake Butler, FL and was the son of Elmer L. and Eathata (Batten) Wilber. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Elmer Leroy 'Lee' Wilber; and his sister Myrna Wilber.
Charles is survived by his wife Marie Collicott, son Patrick Wilber, and daughter Timi (Wilber) Johnson. He grew up in Cortez, CO graduating from Cortez High School in 1958 where he excelled in athletics and academics. After completing military service in the US Army 101st Airborne Division he graduated from the University of Colorado in accounting and went on to be a CPA. He lived the last 18 years of his life in Las Vegas, NV.
Cremation is planned with no services. Donations in his name can be offered to the Nathan Adelson Hospice at http://www.nah.org/donate.
