Andrew (Andy) John Baca was born in Los Angeles, CA on June 8, 1949. He unexpectedly passed from this world on March 8, 2018 in Cortez, CO.
Andy served in the U.S. Army for 4 years, and worked as a construction inspector for the Bureau of Reclamation until retirement. He loved to play golf, enjoyed fishing and "his" mountains. He worked hard, loved the Broncos, took pride in his yard and always had a genuine and kind smile wherever he went. He was a devoted family man and adored his daughter and granddaughter.
Andy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marcia; his daughter Jennifer and family Ty, Brooklin and Skylar Winter of Trinidad, CO. He is also survived by parents Albert and Rosemary Baca; sisters and brothers Larry, Sylvia (Rick), Kay Kay (Stacy), Jim, Laurie, Michael (Christine), Albert (Sandy) and Delle (Maria). Andy was preceded in death by his niece Lauren and his brother Thomas.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 at Ertel's Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will be held afterwards at the Elks Lodge in Cortez.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cortez Elks Lodge.
