I have fond memories of growing up near Uncle Carrell. I always loved his deep jolly laugh and his big strong hands when he would pick me up. He had a twinkle in his eye when he laughed. . He was loved by many people and will be deeply missed.

I am very sorry to hear about Carrell. He was one unique man, in my opinion. Knowing he is not there anymore brings a lot of sadness to me, as I am sure it does you.

My condolences to all of you. I have not seen Carrell and the rest of you for years, but have talked to Carrell on the phone at the VFW many times. However, I still maintain good memories of the 70s and the Gold Slipper.
