Harris Court was one of the finest human beings that it has ever been my pleasure to know. A man of quiet dignity and enduring decency, he truly would give you the shirt off of his back. Always an incredibly gracious host, loyal friend, and brilliant historian, this Renaissance Man could do so many things so well. My entire family are mourning their loss, as each of us felt a unique and individualized kinship with Harris, and we always looked forward with great anticipation to the next time that we would be with him. The world is unfortunately less friendly, less kind, and less beautiful with the passing of Harris, but we count ourselves so fortunate to have crossed paths with him. He thoroughly enriched each of our lives, and made us infinitely better people through his inherent goodness and unquestioned integrity. Rest easy, dear friend, we will never forget you. Harris became a friend the first time we traveled to Flagstone Meadows way back in the 90s. The friendship deepened over the years as we visited often; Harris would often joke about us being his most frequent visitors. The memories we created were nothing short of amazing, including a renewal of our wedding vows in a traditional Navajo ceremony on the gorgeous property of Flagstone. Harris arranged the entire event. When not visiting, we talked by phone on a regular basis to keep up with the lives of our families and each other. Our last visit with Harris was just a few weeks before the sale was finalized. We were sad that an era was ending, but happy for Harris that he was finally freeing himself of the daily hard work of creating the outstanding experience of his B&B. Harris put his heart and soul into it, but his heart and soul now wanted to be free to visit his kids and grandkids. We love Harris. We will miss his kindness, sense of humor and his words of wisdom. We have never had and will never have another friend as unique and special as Harris Court. Till we meet again, our friend, till we meet again.
