Racing was different in his day. Wish it was still the way it used to be, so much was left behind.

To all of the Pearson family, thanks for all the many racing memories and shop visits, back in the 80's My thoughts are too numerous to name how all of you boys , including your great father, spent time with me and my kids visiting at your shop. David is at rest now with his LORD, and may we meet again to share great stories of your father, the greatest Nascar driver ever, and even a greater man that he was, Jerry Curci

There will never be another race car driver like David Pearson. He was the best. He did not need or want to draw attention to himself. On the track is where he proved he was and always will be the best. NASCAR has lost one of the greatest drivers to ever to race.

Truly a legend, humble, quiet and the man behind the wheel. Bias ply tires no power steering, no ac at 200 mph, a giant of the sport. I am so sorry for your loss, I feel like I lost a childhood hero.
