Dean E. Wolcott Obituary
Mancos resident Dean Wolcott died at his home in Flagstaff, AZ on August 10th, 2018 with family and hospice by his side. He was 89. He is preceded in death by his brother Ralph C. Wolcott, his wife of over 62 years Betty Ann (Berger) Wolcott, sons Dean (Dee) Wolcott Jr. and Greg Wolcott and daughter Elizabeth (Liz) Wolcott.

Dean leaves behind a daughter, Jenny (Wolcott) Thomas along with two grandsons Matthew Bingham and Ryan Bingham all from Flagstaff, AZ, a grandson Benjamin Wolcott and his wife Sensa Wolcott and 2 great granddaughters Aurelia and Annabel Wolcott, a granddaughter Erin Wolcott and a daughter in-law Robin Wolcott all of Mancos, Colorado. Also two nephews and a niece.

Dean was a veteran of WWII, having served in the army. He was a graduate of Syracuse University. He enjoyed a 33 year career with Aetna Life Insurance and eventually became their Senior Vice President. When he retired, he moved to his ranch in Mancos, Colorado in 1989. During this time he also dabbled in real estate and was on several community boards. He enjoyed traveling with family on many fishing, biking and hiking adventures all over the world.

He was an avid reader of novels and newspapers. He continued healthy habits throughout his life and always enjoyed a good walk with his "super" dog, Skip. He was an inspiration to all of us. He will be forever near for he lives within our hearts.

Please join his family for a celebration of life at the ranch at 39716 Hwy 160 in Mancos, Colorado on Sunday, November 11th at 2pm. Pastor Craig Paschal from Mancos United Methodist Church will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice or any in Dean's name.
