Doris Gene Walters (Daves), 84, of Cortez for 48 years, went to live with our Lord May 30, 2017 in Grand Junction, CO. Born June 14, 1932. She owned a flower shop in Cortez named the Rose Bowl and later U-Save Auto Rental. She is survived by her husband Gene of 61 years; 2 children, Cindy (Guy) Roling and Hugo (Jackie) Walters; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Dick Daves of Cortez; Don Daves of Colorado Springs, and Dean Daves of Cortez.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sat., June 3, 2017 at Callahan Edfast Mortuary in Grand Junction. Contributions can be made to Hope West, 3090 N. 12th St., Grand Junction.

I am so very sorry to hear of Doris' passing. We have been friends since grade school and I was looking forward to seeing her at the class reunion. My thoughts, prayers, and love are with Gene and the family. Always your friend, Clara Jo.
