MARGARET POTTER
Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Margaret Potter will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 14 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Pastor Anthony Maes will officiate.
Margaret, 102, left this earthly plane on April 7, 2017. She and her husband, George moved to Cortez in 1950 and stayed. She is survived by her brother, Charles McLoon of Denver; her children, Dorothy Jones (Tom), Jerry Potter (Shawn), Martha Bane (Talton), Wayne Potter (Judy), and Patricia Potter of Cortez; by 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Blessings of California; and by her husband, George Potter in 1979.
