Russell Souza was born November 7, 1944 in Fall River, MA. He proudly served in the Marine Corp and Air Force. He retired as a member of the Massachusetts State Police. He loved his family, friends and traveling the country he loved in his R.V. He also loved golf, the Elks Lodge and a Jim Beam with just a splash. He is survived by his wife Joni; daughters Kristie (Teddy) and Heather (Michael); son Shane (Jack); five grandchildren, one great-grandson, and his golf buddy Pablo. We invite all to join us in a celebration of his life at the Elks Lodge on Thursday March 29 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Humane Society.

One of the most loyal friends I had the honor and pleasure of knowing and serving with in the Mass State Police. "A Compassionate Grump" who loved his family, friends and country.

We had many shifts together at SP Bourne and he was a true brother. He always had your back and would never back down from anyone or anything. Rest in peace Trooper.
