TERRY HAMLIN Obituary
Terry Hamlin, age 71 years, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with family by his side.
Terry was born to George and Lucine Hamlin on December 12, 1952 in Port Arthur, Ontario. He met the love of his life, Debbie and they married and had 2 daughters and then went on to have 7 grandchildren. He grew up in Thunder Bay with his 11 brothers and 6 sisters. He loved being the joker and calling everyone handsome and many other things, but he was always joking about something. His smile and laugh lit up the room when he walked in.
He worked as a Residential and Commercial Painter alongside his brothers and nephew for many years and enjoyed working with family. He loved his daily rides with his brother Jim and also their trips to Grand Portage Casino. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren and also coming out to camp at the KOA and sitting around the fire. He enjoyed bowling on Friday nights. He loved watching his team, Toronto Maple Leafs, never missing a game, as well as watching football on Sundays.
Terry will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters, Rachel Hamlin and Donna (Jeremy) Hayden; grandchildren Abby (Abdullah), Faith, Izzy, Olivia, Jonny, Sophie and Lucas; brothers and sisters Jim Hamlin, David (Wendy) Hamlin, Charlie (Sue) Hamlin, Jack Hamlin, Susan (Bill) Hamlin and Margaret Blasizzo; and brother-in-law Larry Woodbeck.
He is predeceased by his wife Debbie Hamlin; parents George and Lucine Hamlin; brothers Larry, Norman, Fred, Donny, Eddie, Phillip, George; sisters Linda Clarke, Georgina McLellan, Rose Hamlin, Doris Woodbeck; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in law, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at TBRHSC on 2B for taking such good care of our dad and the family.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, presided by Rev. Gordon Holroyd. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens will follow the reception.
Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.

My condolences go out to his loving caring daughters, whom were also his best friends. I have known Terry for many many years. I also knew Debbie very well. You could have not met a better couple than the two of them. Take care of yourself girls they are both missed very much.
