Cheryl Kay Eckert

February 23, 1944 – January 2, 2026

Cheryl K. Eckert, age 81of Davison, Michigan, went home to be with the Lord on January 2, 2026. At Cheryl’s request, no formal services will be held.

Cheryl was born February 23, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to AL and Elaine (Staffne) Roland. She was married to Denis Eckert on June 8, 1963. Cheryl graduated from Atherton High School in Burton, Michigan. Following graduation she attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she met her future husband, Dennis. Cheryl was a mom at home to their three children and with her natural talent for decorating, created a lovely one. She desired and endeavored to impart God’s truths to her children and to live by those truths herself. A favorite verse of hers was Psalm 51:10, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, of 58 years and her parents, AL and Elaine Roland. She is survived by her children Denise Earle (Joe) of Kings Mountain, NC: Kimberlee Witter (Matthew) of Casa Grande, AZ: Mark Eckert of Davison, MI: 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
