Norman Ballance, Jr. Obituary

   Norman Brian "Skeeter" Ballance, Jr., 64, of 115 Tulls Bay Drive, Moyock, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018, in Sentara Life Care Norfolk.

   Skeeter was born in Norfolk, VA on January 11, 1954, and was the son of the late Norman B., Sr. and Joan Creekmore Ballance. He was a retired roofing contractor.

   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rene` Portress Ballance, and by his daughter, Sandy Ballance Taylor.

   Surviving are two granddaughters, Ashlyn Taylor of Manns Harbor and Amanda Taylor of Kill Devil Hills; a great-grandson, Jameson Wentz; his son-in-law, Brent Taylor of Kill Devil Hills; and his brother, Bobby Bell and wife, Ann, of Shawboro.

   A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Moyock Cemetery and will be conducted by the Rev. Vic Ramsey. Friends may visit with the family at the graveside immediately following the service.
