Robert Brown Obituary

Robert Franklin Brown, age 79, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Alexandria, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Robert was born on June 15, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana, to Ina Marrs (Spencer) and George Brown. He shared 54 devoted years of marriage with his beloved wife, Peggy (Goacher) Brown, a life built on love, commitment, and family.

A true jack of all trades, Robert could fix just about anything. He especially enjoyed working on cars and took great pride in his mechanical skills. One of his favorite pastimes was collecting Hot Wheels, a hobby that brought him joy throughout his life.

Robert dedicated over 30 years of service to Anderson Light and Power, retiring in 2001. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help wherever he was needed.

Above all, Robert was a devoted family man. He will be remembered for his steady presence, practical wisdom, and deep love for his family. His legacy of hard work and kindness will live on in all who knew him.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy Brown; son, Robert P. (Julie) Brown; son, Randy A. (Elizabeth) Brown; son, Codi R. (Jessica) Oldfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Ina Brown, and his sister, Nancy Murray.
