Dear Mrs. Georgette Welage & Family,

My husband Tim McGovern and I recently heard about the passing of your husband & father. We are so very sorry for your loss!

Although I didn´t have the opportunity to meet Mr. Welage, he has always had a special place in my heart! He tried to save my husband Iain Bell on July 22, 1995 from drowning after a rafting accident on the Upper Animas River. I believe Harold was fishing with his daughter before her wedding. Unfortunately, his efforts failed and Iain didn´t make it. I will always have great admiration and gratitude for Mr. Welage´s efforts to try and save my husband!

Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Kate & Tim
