James Owen Williams was born to Charles Emerson and Theresa Mae Williams on August 29, 1961 in Moab, Utah. He passed away on August 11, 2020 at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital in Bakersfield, CA due to complications from heart surgery. He was 58.

Jim graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School in 1979. He joined the US Army and served 4 years. While in the army he learned the electrician trade. He was employed with the State of California for over 30 years as a hydro-electrician. His job took him all over California which he enjoyed. He was the best at his craft; he always gave 100 percent to whatever task at hand.

He loved his family, friends, and the Dodgers baseball team completely. He enjoyed traveling--especially taking cruises with his son--and riding his ATV.

Jim is survived by his son Jarrett Williams of Granite Falls, Washington and his sister, Linda Johnson (Mark) of Cortez. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother Cecilia Williams, and his nephew Cody Johnson.

A small family gathering will take place at a later date in the mountain above Silverton, CO, a place he loved dearly.

I can remember Jimmy when we were kids playing on the hill sides of Silverton. He was always adventurous and fun to be with.

I worked with Jim just a short few times but I grew to enjoy him tremendously. I felt he was a good model for other men to follow with his balance of humor and sense. I will miss him giving me a funny insult every time he saw me.

I will grieve not having Jim to talk too. I will laugh about our good times and remember him as a great friend. Above all I have so much respect for the man I got to know and hope to see him again. The Giants will play the Dodgers in heaven I hope. God bless my friend and don't worry about my tears. Love ya Jim
