Very sad news, passed much too early. Will remember his performances at various locations in the States and in Europe. For me, a vivid bridge to Miles, but also a musician in his own right.
Lothar from Germany.

I am so sorry for your loss. Leaving here, at such a young age of 59cyears, because of a viral infection, is such a tragedy. I love music, and I am sure, he loved it also. I played the guitar, but I always fascinated with ones who could play the horns. May he be remembered by the music he played, and may the God of Comfort, continue to comfort you, in this time of grief.
