Robert Pletcher Obituary

Robert Pletcher, 87, of Elkhart, died at 6:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at The Waters of Wakarusa.

Robert was born July 30, 1937, in Elkhart, to Ralph and Sarah (Derr) Pletcher. On Sept. 4, 1965, in Middlebury, he married Carolyn "Sue" Pletcher, and she died Feb. 26, 2024.

Surviving are his children, Denise (John) Sexton, Elkhart, and Mark (Sheila) Pletcher, Elkhart; grandchildren, Derek Sexton, Aron Sexton, Kaylee (Nick) Mammolenti and Anthony Pletcher, all of Elkhart; and a great-grandson, Nicholis Mammolenti II.

Preceding him in death are his parents, wife Sue and sisters Kathryn Anderson and Veta Blosser.

Robert was a farmer and worked in maintenance at Johnson Controls, Goshen, Continental Stamping, Wakarusa, and Andre Corp., Elkhart. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the American Legion and Grace Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Sept. 25, all at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa. Sister Nora Frost of Grace Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Olive (West) Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Northwood FFA (send to P.O.
