Dr. Stanley F. Reiter
Dr. Stanley F. Reiter, born 8/10/1926 in New York City, died on 5/5/2024 in Miami, Florida. Dr. Reiter was a lifelong resident of New Haven, CT. He received his undergraduate degree from Cornell in engineering and then completed Ph.D studies in metallurgy at Yale University. Prior to completing his degree at Cornell, he served in the Navy during World War II aboard the USS Washington BB-56. He served as President and CEO of Rome Fastener, Corp in Milford, CT for over 40 years. He was a proud Zionist and early supporter of the State of Israel. He was a pillar of the New Haven Jewish Community, devoted member of the Westville Synagogue, supporter of the JCC, the New Haven DaySchool and donor to multiple causes in the wider New Haven community and beyond. Above all, he was the devoted husband of over 68 years to Marcia Weinstock Reiter, father of 4 and grandfather to 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services at The Westville Synagogue,74 West Prospect St., New Haven on WEDNESDAY morning, May 8th at 11:00 with Interment Services to follow at B'nai Jacob Memorial Park, 200 Wintergreen Ave., New Haven.
