Ronnie Holt
Ronnie Kay Holt, 71, of Greeneville, went home to be with his Lord on February 3, 2026.
Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, stepdad, grandad, son, brother, and friend with a kind and generous heart. He attended New Haven Church and loved his church family very much. He took his role as a member of the deacon board very seriously, serving until his health no longer permitted. Ronnie was a gentle person and a Christian in word and deed. He was good to everyone he met, and he had a heart like Jesus.
He lived with Parkinson's disease for 12 years, and as the disease progressed, it took a greater toll on him, yet he never complained. He never questioned why, and he always fought on, never failing to give God the glory for every bit of strength he gained.
Ronnie was born and raised in the South Central community and has told so many fond and funny stories of his years growing up there with his friends and family. A gifted hands-on worker and builder with a mind for mathematics, he spent a 35-year career as a diesel mechanic and driver for Greene Coach Company. Ronnie loved being on the road and taking groups all over the country. Many repeat travelers requested him as their driver, giving him the highest compliments and respect for his friendliness, professionalism, and the special way he took care of them. He was proud to wear the Greene Coach dress uniform and represented the company so well, earning many trophies and first place titles in regional and state driving competitions.
Ronnie's greatest joy was his family, and he took care of them. He cherished his wife, was proud of his two sons, and loved nothing better than making Saturday morning pancakes for his grandchildren, whom he felt hung the moon. He never left on a trip without a picture of the grandkids on his sun visor, keeping them close where he could see them. Ronnie was loved dearly by his entire family, and he will be missed so much.
Ronnie Holt is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; his sons, Wesley Holt (Jennifer) of Michigan, and Lucas Holt (Jay) of California; his mother, Carolyn Holt of South Central; his brother, David Holt (Sandra), of Telford; and his sister, Texie Laws (Henry) of South Central.
