Roshana Gossoff Obituary

Roshana Gossoff

April 17, 1989 - May 21, 2024

Lauderdale.

When I met Roshana, I quickly became aware of her love for animals (and Lucy). Over the years, we conspired in different ways to rescue dogs and cats. Roshana would frequently ask about my hedgehog, Sonic. Most recently, she was trying to find a rescue for a dog. I mentioned that I'd send it to my wife, and Roshana said, "Oh, I already did...yesterday." That made me laugh so much.

The cat in the picture was adopted from someone Roshana found while rescuing some kittens. Roshana was fully aware that this kitten was rescued as a direct result of her efforts.

Roshana will forever be in my memory as one of the kindest people I've ever encountered.

My prima. I love you. Thank you for always leading by example and showing me what being such a strong individual is like. Your love and compassion for others was constantly evident. None of this will ever make sense and it is so unfair but my greatest gift was knowing someone as special as you. Thank you for always being you. You are my angel forever

Roshana was a friend I held close to my heart. I not only liked her as a person but I sincerely admired her in all the facets she covered in life. She was what the world needs most, someone who always tried to do what was right even of she was tired, even against the current. I sit trying to find a corner in my heart that brings some acceptance and it isn´t easy but someone told me there is a beautiful place souls go to where an other worldly joy can be felt, joy that is paradise, joy that is paradise. That´s how I choose to imagine my dear Roshana in a state of eternal joy.

And to you my amiguita linda y bella I have nothing else to say other than thank you. Thank you for being in my life for 17 years, for every time we spent together, for the texts, for the good conversations, for being so unafraid to show affection. I am going to miss you everyday and will honor your name and time on earth with every chance I get.
Un beso al cielo amiga!

They say there is a reason. They say that time will heal. But neither time nor reason will change the way I feel. No one knows the heartache that lies behind our smiles, no one knows how many times we´ve broken down and cried. You are wonderful to think of but so difficult to be without. We love you Roshy, you´ll be missed and in our hearts forever. Rest in peace my dear friend.

To Roshana, whom I welcomed into this life when she was born, and got to share wonderful moments of her childhood along with my own children. And it's in those memories that I stop time and cherish her memory
Roshana, I'm saying prayers for you today,
and now I will for all my own time left,
I never did before, I never thought of it,
for your youth you going now was never meant.
In my prayers I ask God for what you cared,
never wealth nor trivial life affairs,
but things only oneself can create,
love and kindness and that will bring the rest.
You going came way too soon,
nobody could had possibly been prepared,
so now my prayers include you,
and those close for whom you cared
May Peace and Love travel with you wherever you are ,
while we honor your beautiful legacy in this earth

Although I have known Roshana for a short period of time, it was enough to see how special she was. Her smile and willingness to help were evident from a mile away. I am praying for her family to find the strength they need to move forward as we keep Roshana in our hearts.

My deepest condolences to the family.

Roshana - you were a bright light with so much heart and compassion. Had the honor serving on the Board of Directors at IOS on the Bay and worked side by side with Roshana - her passion and dedication to doing the right thing will be a part of her legacy.
You will be dearly missed.

Roshana was a smiling, joyful beacon of light from the time I got to know her at WRGP radio at FIU. Honest conversations about music and politics and sharing laughter and good times in the office and the studio.

I did meet Roshana at a challenging time in my life and she always had light and joy to share, and I'll be forever grateful to her and remember her as a part of a big part of a critically formative part of my life, when I was a little bit lost.

You'll be sorely missed by friends and family for the joy and kindness that you shared.

Thank you for being you Fave.

Roshana you are a star.
Now you are shining even more.
You have been the best at everything . The greatest love, the best love.
You are finally resting and enjoying paradise!

I dreamed of flying freely in the sky. Going to places that I had never been, swerving through the clouds and looking down upon little shapes that I can only guess were people or cars. I would make stops in other worlds, unknown to most, taking trips to the moon, the sun, and back again.

A kite is a symbol of freedom. It is opportunity and a chance to create excitement and to see the world in a different angle. However, when it comes down to it, a kite has its ties to home. It is in the hands of someone who understands its need to leave the ground, explore, fly away, but always faithfully returns home.
