Angola - Orain L. Gary, 88, of Angola, Indiana, died Friday, January 16, 2026, at his residence.
He was born October 20, 1937, in Hillsdale, Michigan, to Orain and Orpha (Ford) Gary.
On August 7, 1982, in Angola he married the love of his life Joyce M. Gleason.
He honorably served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1958.
Mr. Gary retired from Dana in Angola after 30 years of service.
Surviving are his wife, Joyce Gary of Angola; four daughters, Jeana (Joe) Griffiths of Angola, Sally (Ric) Hensley of Angola, Mona (Robin) Will of Fort Wayne, and April (Greg) Allen of Grand Haven, Michigan; and a son, James (Michele) Barron of Pleasant Lake; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Donna Nugent of Iowa.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce Carey, Joan Matthews, and Carol Taylor.
There will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery at Fremont.
Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
