Agnes Reeder Obituary

Agnes M. Reeder, 93, of Collinsville, IL, passed away on January 27, 2026. Agnes was born on October 4, 1932, in Harrisburg, IL, to parents Stephen Boyke and Helen Boyke, nee Balog.

She married John Reeder on June 10, 1953, in Harrisburg, IL. They were together 65 years until his passing on November 7, 2018. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved tending to her garden and cultivating the beauty in her flowers. Never having a driver's license, Agnes often walked place to place which gave her the opportunity to take in the beauty of nature around her, furthering her love for flowers and greenery. Outside of quality time with her family and gardening, Agnes could be found at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where she was a devoted parishioner.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Helen Boyke; ten of her siblings; husband, John Reeder; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Reeder; and granddaughter, Amanda Frawley. Surviving Agnes are her sister, Louise Lippett; children, Vickie (Rick) Grissom, John "Mark" (Denise) Reeder, David (Michelle) Reeder, and Jane (Dan) Jones; grandchildren, Matthew, John "Robert", Joshua, Matthew, Stephanie, Benjamin, Jacob, and Kiley; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Olivia, Isaac, Zayne, Lewis, and Sammantha; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A memorial visitation is arranged for Saturday, February 7, 2026, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. At a later date, a private interment will be held at Wolf Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Eldorado, IL.
