Bonnie Jean Lingel, of Great Falls, Montana, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, in the city where she was born and lived a full and meaningful life. She was born on February 22, 1951, to George Lingel and Jacqueline M. (Wiese) Lingel, both of whom preceded her in death.

Bonnie was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her siblings, William “Bill” Lingel and his wife, Sharon, and Elizabeth “Becky” Lingel. She leaves behind her two children, Timothy Huttinger and Tammy (Huttinger) Trovatten, who will forever cherish her love and guidance.

She was a proud grandmother, to Andrew Tonkin, Nicholas Stringer and his wife, Samantha “Sadie”, and Kimberly Huttinger. Bonnie’s legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren, Sapphire Tonkin, Jessie Tonkin, Liam Tonkin, Odin Stringer, Akuma Stringer, Macbeth Stringer, and Lilith Stringer. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Lingel and her beloved grandson, Justin Jeremy Huttinger.

Bonnie had a gentle spirit and a tender heart. She loved cats, whose companionship brought her joy throughout her life, and she had a deep appreciation for music, which was a constant comfort and source of happiness for her. She worked as a glass cutter at Easter Seals, where she took pride in her craft and in contributing to work that supported others.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on February 1, 2026, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel, located at 1410 13th St S, Great Falls, Montana. A reception will follow next door at Schnider Funeral Home, 1510 13th St S, Great Falls, Montana, where family and friends are welcome to gather, share memories, and celebrate Bonnie’s life.

Bonnie will be remembered for her kindness, her resilience, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth she brought to the world will continue to shine through those who loved her.
