Annie Maude Knych, 91, passed away February 12, 2026. She was born October 29, 1934 in Brewton, Alabama to the late Merle and Beatrice Barnes Castleberry. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Knych; brother, Phillip Castleberry; sister, Maggie Hale; and grandson, Carter Knych.

Left to cherish Annie's memory are her children, Janet (Nick Halk) Caldwell, Ken (Vicki) Knych, and Michael (Melinda) Knych; grandchildren, Stephen (Jenny) Knych, Clayton Knych, Amy Kitchens, April Richerson, Justin (Nicole) Knych, Adam (Chelsey Staggs) Knych, Lauren (Jeremy) Norris; great grandchildren, AJ Knych, Collin Knych, Logan Richerson, Landon (Mallory) Richerson, Keegan Knych, Kinsley Knych, and Autumn Norris; one brother, Frank (Sherrie) Castleberry; sister-in-law, Lorraine (Butch) Mega; and dozens of nieces and nephews that got to call her Aunt Annie.

Annie was the matriarch and heart of her family. She adored her grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a lifelong and devoted parishioner of St. Michael's Catholic Church in West Memphis, Arkansas. Annie was among its oldest and most faithful members. She was dedicated to preparing and teaching first communion to the children of St. Michael's over the years. She was also a longstanding and proud member of the Infant of Prague Guild at St. Michael's.

A funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at St. Jude Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. and Rosary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Annie will be laid to rest with her husband, Stanley, at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 18, 2026.
