Barbara Cartwright Obituary

Barbara Ann Cartwright (Schneider) was born in San Bernardino, California to Pauline Joan Giles and Leslie Allen Schneider on December 22nd, 1937. Sher graduated from Poly High in Riverside and later moved to Bloomington in the 1960s.

She loved to garden, craft, dance, and swim – and of course loved her dogs just like they were her own children. Her love of gardening also drew her to join the Iris Society where the group would travel to gardens in the area to admire their beautiful irises and lush gardens. She also loved working at JCPenney, and Mission and Redlands Gallerias.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husbands Rick Comini, Steve Rutgers and Charles Cartwright; son, Kerry Dean Comini; and brother, George Rodney Giles. She is survived by her son Ricky Allen Comini, sister Linda Miller; grandchildren Brian Allen Comini, Wendy Lynn Comini, Jeremiah Aaron Comini, Anthony Comini, and Iceland Comini; great-grandchildren Stephen Clements, her soon-to-be-born great-great-grandson, Jaxson Clements; and many dear friends and neighbors.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2026 from 10-11 AM at Redlands United Church of Christ at 168 Bellevue Ave, Redlands, CA 92373, followed by her graveside service at 12pm at Green Acres Memorial Park 11715 Cedar Avenue, Bloomington, CA 92316.
