UNION: Funeral services for Ms. Bonnie Stephens Chaney will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Milling Funeral Home Chapel of Union. Burial will be in the Erin Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Bro. Scott Engle will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Milling Funeral Home of Union.

Ms. Bonnie Stephens Chaney, age 84, of Union, died Saturday, February 14, 2026.

Survivors include:

Daughter:
Sandra Stephens (Charles Flow) of Union

Two sons:
Freddie Stephens (Mildred) of Union
Mitchell Stephens (Kayla) of Union

15 grandchildren

16 great grandchildren

2 sisters:
Johnnie Kate Kittrel of Union
Shirley Griffin of Union

Ms. Chaney is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a special son in law, Harold Gomillion of TN.

She is preceded in death by her parents, JC and Nellie Kate Watson; two daughters, Barbara Gomillion and Sherry Tatum; one son, Bryan Stephens; three sisters, Gloria Jean Butts, Mattie Pearl Carter and Francis Tatum and four infant grandchildren.

Ms. Bonnie had a big heart. She put others ahead of herself and always thought of what she could do for someone else. She will be remembered by her family as a hard worker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Pallbearers: Kenny Gomillion, Hunter Stephens, Brody Stephens, Caleb Boyd, Jordan Tatum and Jeremy Gomillion.

Honorary Pallbearers: Brandon Tatum and Ethan Breland.
