Brian Wade Ballance, 50, of Fordyce, Arkansas passed away on February 9, 2026, He was born January 13, 1976 in Fordyce, Arkansas, where he spent much of his life.
Brian worked as a mechanic and was known for doing things his own way. He marched to the beat of his own drum and didn’t follow the rules, choosing to live life on his own terms. Those who knew him will remember his independent spirit and strong personality.
He is survived by his children, Brittany Roberts and husband Chris of Thornton, Christopher Ballance of Fordyce, Brady Ballance and wife Grace of Kingsland, Klayton Ballance of Hampton, and Jacob Ballance and Lucas Ballance Kingsland; his mother, Anita Ballance of Thornton; a brother, Calvin Goforth and wife Patty of Willow Springs, MO; two sisters, Brenda Dunlap and husband Eddie of New Edinburg, Elizabeth Beard and Charles Lederman of Thornton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Junior Ballance and both sets of grandparents.
Brian loved his family deeply and those closest to him knew he held a special bond with his dog, “Bubba Son” who went nearly everywhere with him and was a constant companion.
A private family gathering will be held in his honor. Brian will be remembered and missed by all who knew him.
