David Ward Obituary

David Edward Ward, Sr. of Oklahoma City, OK was born March 11, 1938 in Mascot, TN to Hanley and Ella Mae (Small) Ward. He passed away on October 29, 2024.
David served in the U. S. Navy from 1955 thru 1959. David married Elizabeth Ann Fitch on 11/15/1957.
He was a Manufacturing Engineer in the aircraft business. He received an award in recognition of his outstanding accomplishment in developing the aircraft Integration Plan Drawing for the Boeing 777 Program. David also worked on the Global Production of the "F-35 Lightning 1.
David was a man who loved his family deeply. He was a jokester; he loved to tease his family and make them laugh.
David loved to sing! He sang for the Dallas Symphony, "Big D Jamboree" and at church as a soloist and for weddings. David wrote lyrics and music to a song "Life with You" for his wife, Elizabeth Ward.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Elizabeth.
David is survived by daughter, Eunice Trent (Tom); sons, David Ward, Jr. (Christina) and Chad Ward (Renee'); 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 11am-8pm with family present from 6-8pm. Service will be 10:00am Monday, November 4, 2024 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
