Glory Jean Angerer, 83, of
Jefferson City, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital.
She was born on October 16, 1942, in
Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Harley Hugh Harrison and Betty (Branson) Harrison. Glory was a 1960 graduate of Belle City High School and continued her education at Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri, and later at Lincoln University in Jefferson City.
On December 14, 1963, she was united in marriage to Harold Elmer Angerer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Jefferson City. They shared a devoted marriage rooted in faith, family, and a love for traveling until Harold's passing on November 11, 2015.
Glory was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Honey Creek, where she faithfully served and built lifelong friendships. She retired from the City of Jefferson, where she worked for many dedicated years.
Glory lived a life full of adventure. She and Harold traveled by motorhome for more than 20 years, visiting 49 state and the Canadian and Mexico Provinces. Yet with all the places she has gone, Alaska was her absolute favorite destination. They were proud members of the Capital City Wings RV Club, enjoying countless trips and memories made throughout North America.
She is survived by her two sons; Joseph E. Angerer, LTC (R), US Army, of Clarkson, Kentucky, and Daniel C. Angerer of Brazito, Missouri; one sister, June Haynes of Leslie, Missouri; four grandchildren: Joseph E. Angerer II (SFC, U.S. Army,
Colorado Springs, CO), John M. Angerer 1LT (P), U.S. Army, O'ahue, HI), Baylee D. Angerer and Sasha E. Angerer, both of
Jefferson City, Missouri; and one great-grandchild, Emerich V. Angerer.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church Founders Hall in Honey Creek. Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Immanuel Lutheran Sanctuary, with Pastor Steve Resner officiating.
Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Honey Creek.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Immanuel Lutheran School, Honey Creek, Missouri.
