Irene Garcia Obituary
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Gonzales and brother Joseph Garcia. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Larry R. Trujillo; son Albert (AJ) Mercado (Tiffinie) of Kihei, HI; sisters, Elsie Danhieux of Hawthorne, CA, Caroline Gallegos of Garden City, KS, Phyllis Matthews of Pueblo, CO and Stacy Righini of Pueblo Co; grandsons, Micaiah Mercado and Isaiah Mercado.
In addition to her immediate family, Irene was blessed with a bonus family-the Trujillo family-through her loving husband, Larry. She will be missed by Joann Musso, Joe Trujillo, Gary Trujillo, Diana Aragon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Irene had a nurturing spirit. She loved caring for people, especially the elderly. Working for Arikare Home Care Placement Services allowed her to do this. She enjoyed gardening and planting colorful flowers, dancing, jazz music, traveling and shopping. She loved the Thursday night ritual of dinner and playing cards with family.
We will miss her compassion, caring and loving smile.
