Karen L. Dalton, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away at 9:10 am on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Indianapolis. She was born in Jonesboro, Indiana, on August 17, 1946, to Melvin and Onita (Miller) Morris.

Karen graduated from Mississinewa High School and dedicated 29 years of service as an Administrative Assistant with the Indiana Department of Education. She was a member of Brookhaven Wesleyan Church and the Order of the Eastern Star in Franklin, Indiana. Karen especially enjoyed fishing and playing the slots, finding joy in simple moments and shared laughter.

She is survived by her children, Jeffrey (Karen) Buckner of Columbus, IN, Toni (Steve) Bills of Indianapolis, IN, and Jeremy (Heather) Buckner of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, Stephanie Sharp, Christina Busch, Shawn Buckner, Shane Buckner, Zachery Buckner, Scott Suns, Isabella Buckner, and Giuliana Buckner; several great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Georgia Charlene Morris.

Karen was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Ray Morris; her mother, Onita Morris; and her brother, Loran Morris.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm at Grant Memorial Park, 1606 W. 26th St., Marion, IN with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion, IN.
