Laura Hopper Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Laura Christine Hopper, who departed this life on February 4, 2026, in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, at the age of 57.

Born on January 19, 1969, in Meriden, Connecticut, she lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love.

Laura proudly served her country as a member of the United States Air Force Reserves. Her commitment to service continued in her professional life, where she worked diligently as an investigator for the Melbourne, Florida DMV. Her career was a testament to her unwavering work ethic and integrity.

Laura faced life's challenges with remarkable strength and courage, particularly her battle with cancer, which she fought with grace and determination. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Sandra Jones Francis; cherished daughter, Samantha Vera; and dear sister, Stacey Uncapher. Laura is survived by her loving father, Larry Francis, who will forever hold her memory close; her treasured granddaughter, Jocelyn Vera, who brought immense joy to her life; and her devoted friends, Darla Shick and Kristie Custer, who were by her side through thick and thin.

A memorial service to honor Laura's life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at the First United Methodist Church: 600 Wood St. Clarion, PA 16214 with Rev. Jodie Smith officiating. Her family and friends will gather to celebrate the beautiful impact she had on their lives and to say their final goodbyes.

Laura's spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. May she rest in peace.
