Lucia Aguirre Obituary

Lucia “Shia” Aguirre, 72, of Lubbock, formerly of Brownfield, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1953 in Silverton, Texas to Miguel and Carmen (Salgado) Rodriguez, Sr. Shia loved playing BINGO, dominos, cards and even Super Mario Brothers. She was a wonderful cook and took pride in making meals for her family, this gave her quality time with them. She will be missed by all that knew her.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children, Irene Torres, Mary Rey (Victor) and Miguel “Lito” Aguirre; grandchildren, Edward Saenz and wife Brittany, Rockie Rey and wife Natalie, Alexis Martinez (Michael Lucio)and Nasario Torres and fiancé Danielle; ten great grandchildren; siblings, Cruz Jacquez, Martin Rodriguez, Sr. and wife Virginia, Erasmo Rodriguez and wife Alice, and Mary Ann Vasquez and husband Joe.

Shia was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Carmen Rodriguez, husband, Miguel Aguirre, Sr., two sisters and one brother.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at House of Angels Funeral Home, 1211 Lubbock Rd, Brownfield, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Templo Betel, 905 S. 5th St., Brownfield, Texas, with Santos Gamez officiating, burial will follow services at the Brownfield Cemetery, Brownfield, Texas.
