Margaret Cole Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McCrery & Harra Funeral Home and Crematory - Concord Pike on Jan. 10, 2025.
Margaret Ann Cole, a longtime resident of Brandywine Hundred died peacefully on January 5, 2025. Daughter of Guido and Josephine Mazzagatti, Margaret, known as Peggy, was born and raised in Crabtree, Pennsylvania, where she spent a loving childhood with her 12 siblings. She graduated from Greensburg High School where she was proud to be a majorette. A woman of many talents, Peggy left high school to immediately work in an airplane factory during wartime, achieved an Associate degree, sold Tupperware while being a homemaker and eventually found her true passion in helping people with their residential real estate needs. Peggy opened her own company, Cole Realty in 1969. Her unwavering dedication to her business led to 50 years of operating her firm, working into her 80's until she retired.
Although her career played a big part in her life, above all her family was her top priority. Peggy's happiest times were spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, enjoying summer days at her Fenwick Island home, University of Delaware football games, and singing in the church choir at St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Peggy will forever be remembered by her family as a kind, loving and generous caregiver to all who needed her.
Peggy was married to the late Robert (Bob) Cole for 69 years and is survived by her 2 children -Robert F. Cole and Judy Cole Kolodgie; 3 grandchildren - Francis Cole (Julia), Laura Sugrue (Eric), and Michael Kolodgie (Andrea); 5 great-grandchildren-Emma, Maggie and Annabelle Cole, Damien and Olivia Kolodgie; brother James Mazzagatti.
A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am, Tuesday, January 14 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike, followed at 11:00am by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 901 N. DuPont Street. Entombment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
