Mr. Neal Nesbit Obituary

Mr. Neal Edmond Nesbit, age 59, of Columbus, GA, died Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his residence.  

Graveside memorial services for Mr. Nesbit will be held on Saturday, February 28, at 1:00 PM, in the Norcross City Cemetery, Norcross, GA.  The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, February 26, from 5:00 until 7:00 PM, at Fletcher-Day Funeral Home in Thomaston.

Mr. Nesbit was born on May 7, 1966, to Harriett Cosey Nesbit and the late Grayle S. Nesbit, Jr.  He was a 1984 graduate of Stone Mountain High School, and he earned a BS degree in marketing from Georgia Southwestern.  He was employed with Sears Roebuck Company as a district manager for many years and later was employed with Wiley Sanders Trucking Company as an over-the-road driver.

In addition to his father, Mr. Nesbit was preceded in death by a brother, Norman Nesbit. He is survived by his wife, Kristi Lastinger Nesbit of Columbus; his mother, Harriett Nesbit of Thomaston, and two daughters: Anna Nesbit of Milton, FL, and Zoe Griffiths of Pensacola, FL.  His Godparents, Marshall and Gerri Casse of Waynesville, NC, also survive.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Methodist Church, PO Box 707, Thomaston, GA  30286.
