Richard Allen Heape, known to many as Ricky, 43, of Ridgeland, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2025. He was born on September 4, 1982.
Ricky is survived by his children, Nicholas Heape (Alainee Heape), Nathan Heape, and Rebeckah Heape, all of Hampton, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Richard Allen Heape II, lovingly known as Little Ricky.
He is survived by his father, Rodger Dale Heape of Borrow, Georgia, and his mother, Vickie Elaine Bell of Ridgeland, South Carolina. He is also survived by his siblings, Rodger Dale Heape II (April Heape), Brandi Heape, and Angel Smith (Kenneth Smith), all of Ridgeland, South Carolina, along with many nieces and nephews.
Ricky was a hard worker and had a creative nature. He enjoyed drawing and was known for his artistic ability. He loved his family and remained connected to them throughout his life.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements will be announced once finalized.
