Rita was a proud holder of a Master's Degree, reflecting her commitment to lifelong learning and the pursuit of knowledge. Throughout her distinguished career as a teacher, she inspired generations, nurturing both academic excellence and a love for learning. Her dedication to her students and her passion for education were unparalleled and remain a testament to her character.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at 10:30am at B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm Street, Wallingford, CT. Interment will follow at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at www.stjude.org or the ASPCA at www.ASPCA.org.
