Robert Arnold Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Frazer Cremations & Funerals - South Lyon on Nov. 19, 2025.
Robert Charles Arnold Jr., 79, of Salem Township, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on February 12, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah, Bob grew up in Lincoln Park and built a life marked by kindness, common sense, and a deep loyalty to the people he loved.
Bob proudly served in the Army before earning his master's degree from Eastern Michigan University. He spent his career helping others as a school psychologist for the Westwood Community Schools in Dearborn Heights and later shared his wisdom as a professor at Schoolcraft College. His work touched countless lives, and his steady presence and sense of fairness made him someone people trusted instantly.
He was known for his sense of humor, his warm smile, and yes - his unmistakable handsomeness. Bob loved golf, Detroit sports, the Beatles, and a good laugh. He once won the "Longest Drive" in an American Legion golf tournament, a point of pride he carried with charm and a wink. Above all, nothing brought him more joy than his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife, Loisann, his loving daughter Kimberly Hart (Erik Hart), and his cherished granddaughters, Iris and Mira. He is also survived by his loyal sister Brenda Anderson (Ken Anderson) and is preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Arnold. He leaves behind lifelong friends Dwight and Rhonda Poore, the Jack and Kay Summers family, and the Schlichting/Curry family, all of whom held a special place in his heart.
A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, December 1, from 10 AM to 1 PM at 21001 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, Michigan 48178. In honor of Bob's giving spirit, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers (T2T.org) in lieu of flowers.
Bob loved wholeheartedly, and those around him always felt it.
