Rosemary Lykins went home to the Lord on Feb. 12, 2026, after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Lewisburg Baptist Church, 608 N Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. and burial will be at Rose Lawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
She was born Aug. 13, 1938, in West Liberty, KY, to Hope Henry and James H. Adams. Rosemary graduated from Morgan County High School in 1956 and moved to Dayton, OH, to attend business college and begin her career.
She married Curtis D. Lykins in 1959 and had three children—Kevin (Ali), Keena and Kirk. In 1967, the young family moved to Lewisburg, OH, and she spent the rest of her life on the farm. She attended Lewisburg Baptist Church for almost 60 years, serving as a Sunday School teacher and VBS volunteer. She was also a member of Eastern Star for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Donald Adams.
She is survived by her husband and children, as well as three grandchildren, Joshua (Prateek), Grace (Anthony) and Joel (Jaedin) Lykins, two nieces, Hope and Debbie Adams, plus many cousins, other nieces and nephews, and friends.
She had a fondness for bag pipes, murder ballads, and old-fashioned gospel songs. She always made the time to keep up with friends and family, often sending a birthday card with a dollar tucked inside. In her final hours, we couldn’t hear all that she was trying to say, but her “love you” came through clearly. We will miss her.
