Shirley Hall Obituary

Shirley Elizabeth Gilkison Hall, 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at her home. She was born in Lewis County, KY, to the late Jack and Maude Bennett Gilkison. Besides her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hall; their daughter, Brenda Kay Hall; brothers, Jim Gilkison, Tom Gilkison, Dutch Gilkison, Hoover Gilkison, Connie Gilkison, and Zeke Gilkison; sister, Opal Corns; great-grandchild, Logan Xavier Marsh; and special fur babies, Barney and Kahlua Hall.

Shirley is survived by her son, Larry (Shannon) Hall; daughter, Teresa (Doug) Marsh; grandchildren, Dominic Hall, Lucy Belle (Ben) Davis, Brandon (Ashley) Marsh, and Trevor (Olivia) Marsh; great-grandchildren, Kiyah Marsh, Jenna Marsh, Clayton Marsh, Amelia Marsh, Nolan Marsh, Rory Davis; sister-in-law, Jeanne Ferguson; special friend, Brenda Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley loved her family and friends, crafting at the library with her friend Tracye, and watching The Game Show Network and soap operas. She was a faithful member of Connersville Christian Church.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Ware Funeral Home with visitation the evening prior on December 30, 2025, also at Ware Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Bro. Nick Jones and Bro. Clifford Neat will preside over services. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers for the Hall family will be Dominic Hall, Trevor Marsh, Ben Davis, Taylor Hill, Walker Hill, and Mike Neat. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Dwight Lewis, Charlie Hill, William Sudduth, PA-C, and Zeke Jones.
