Susanne E. Edwards (Waugh) of Bridgewater passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2026, at her home after a long, valiant battle with melanoma. She was 77 years old.

Susanne was born in Brockton and grew up in West Bridgewater as the oldest of six children. She graduated from West Bridgewater High School in 1966 and later received her degree in pharmacology from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston.

After college, Sue worked for several locally owned pharmacies in the area, including Craig's Pharmacy in Middleborough, as well as the pharmacy at Bridgewater Department of Corrections. She retired from the Stop & Shop Pharmacy in Somerset in 2016.

Sue met Frank Edwards through her work and later married him on April 2, 1983. As the spouse of a Navy veteran, they loved to travel, which included the U.S. Navy Reunions throughout the country. After Frank passed away in 2014, Sue carried on her love of travel and visited destinations like the Mediterranean and Central America.

Sue maintained her wonderful social life through coffee dates and trying her luck at the slot machines alongside her good friend Judy. She valued spending time with her family above all, and always played a part in family get-togethers, holidays, and birthdays. Sue was a kind and considerate caretaker and volunteer, most recently volunteering with the SHINE Program.

Sue fought hard throughout her diagnosis for over two years and will be remembered for her strong will. She was extremely generous, thoughtful, brilliant, and positive. Without hesitation, Sue would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She will be sincerely missed by her loved ones and all who knew her.

Susanne is predeceased by her parents, Richard G. and Eldona (Stukas) Waugh, her brother Richard G. Waugh, and her husband, Frank Edwards, Jr.

She is survived by her sisters, Peggy Waugh and her husband Don Pendergast of North Myrtle Beach, SC., Nancy Waugh of North Easton, Barbara Pomeroy and her husband Michael of Lakeville, and Linda Waugh of West Bridgewater. She is also survived by her nephew Seth Pomeroy, and her nieces Leanne Pomeroy, Sarah Pomeroy, Katie Gallagher and her husband Adam, Emma Williams, as well as two grandnieces, Summer Pomeroy and Olivia Gallagher. Susanne will be remembered by Tracy and Brian Leinbach, Zoe, and Amelie, Heidi and Whit Pendergast, and Skylin. Susanne also leaves behind several cousins and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday, February 9th, 2026 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations, 98 Bedford Street, Bridgewater, MA 02324 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
