Terry Lee Alloway, 83, retired carpenter of
Conway Springs, Kansas, died Friday, February 6, 2026, at Wesley Woodlawn Hospital, Wichita, Kansas.
Visitation with family present will be 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Ebersole Mortuary, 219 W. Spring Avenue,
Conway Springs, Kansas.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Trinity United Christian Church, 416 N. Washington, Cheney, Kansas.
Committal Service will be 2:00 p.m. in Eden Cemetery, Milton, Kansas.
Terry was born June 16, 1942, in
Wellington, Kansas to Lawrence and Mary Jane (Compton) Alloway. He attended grade school at Cheney and Norwich before graduating from Conway Springs High School with the class of 1960. He continued his education at Coffeyville Junior College and was a member of the football team.
Terry was united in marriage to Sharon Sue Black on September 1, 1962, in Cheney, Kansas. They made their home near Viola, Kansas where they raised their three sons.
Terry was a carpenter and worked most of his life in the local region in the construction business. He retired from E.W. Johnson Construction Company in 2000. After retirement he joined his son Jeff in his trucking business as a driver transporting milk from local dairies for 10 years. His drive to keep busy had him starting yet another venture driving a truck and helping chop feed for Wells Dairy for several years until finally retiring.
Terry was proceeded in death by his parents and his twin brother Jerry Alloway.
He is survived by his wife Sue Alloway of 63 years; three sons: Jeff (Monica) Alloway, Jay Alloway, Jody (Laurie) Alloway; seven grandchildren: Ryan Alloway, Austin (Monica) Alloway, Cory Alloway, Jet Alloway, Kalynne (Caleb) Teig, Kolton Alloway, Kyler Alloway; seven great grandchildren: Izic Billups, Miles and Cruz Alloway, Cayson and Liam Alloway, Callahan and Charlie Teig; one brother Kurt (Mary Kay) Alloway; one sister Sondra (Jim) Wood; sister in law Alice Alloway and a number of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Memorials have been established with the Trinity United Christian Church, Conway Springs High School Athletic Department, and Cheney High School Athletic Department.
