Helen Lemieux Obituary

Helen Marie (Narofsky) Lemieux, 79, died peacefully on January 30 in Mesa, Arizona, shortly after all her children were able to visit her bedside.

Helen was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on November 31, 1946, daughter of Margaret Wolinsky and John Naross. She married Arthur Lemieux (1944-2013) on September 14, 1968, and moved to Manchester, NH, in 1973, where they raised three children.

Although she held various jobs, being creative was always her true passion. For many years, she owned and maintained a ceramic studio in their family home. She spent countless hours there sharing her artistic talents as well as meeting lifelong friends. Her daughter, Sirena, vividly remembers spending weekends from a very young age at craft fairs all around the state. After retiring to Arizona, Helen traded in her paintbrush for a sewing machine, finding joy in crafting with fabric. She lovingly passed on her sewing skills to her son and grandson. Her daughter, Andrea, reflects with awe on her mother's creative abilities. She will be remembered for years to come as her children and grandson look upon her creations, holiday after holiday, as well as her dedication to family, and the quiet strength with which she lived life.

She is survived by her children, Arthur James (A.J.) of Mesa, AZ, Sirena Sharon of Hopkinton, NH, Andrea Lee of Ocala, FL, and her only grandchild, Gage Lemieux Crotty, as well as family in Connecticut, South Carolina, and Pennsylvania.

A short service will be held this summer at St. Augustine's Cemetery on Beech Street in Manchester, NH.
