Eva Flores Obituary

Eva C. Flores, who lived in Watsonville for 70 years, passed away on Valentine's Day, 2026. She was 93.

Eva was born on March 16, 1932, in Jalisco, Mexico, to her loving mother, Maria C. Pizano. As a young woman, she moved to Santa Cruz, California, where she met her future husband, Luis R. Flores. They were married on Valentine's Day, 1956, after which they moved to Watsonville. Eva never had children, but she was always surrounded by family and a large group of friends with whom she shared many interests.

She worked for many years at Mann's Apple Company, until her retirement. She was an avid gardener, and a devoted pet lover. Due to health reasons, she moved in with her sister, Luisa Axie, near Aromas, where she was cared for and loved. They spent many days enjoying each other's company and reminiscing about their life.

Eva passed away on what would have been her 70th wedding anniversary, she is now dancing with Luis in Heaven. Eva was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly, Steve, Michelle, Orlando, and Sandra. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Luis R. Flores; and her sister, Luisa Axie.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Valley Public Cemetery, at 11:00 am. Mehl's Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
