Jean M. (Delsignore) Trello
September 27, 1934 - March 27, 2026
Jean M. (Delsignore) Trello, of Hudson Falls, passed away peacefully at the Glens Falls Hospital on March 27, 2026, with family by her side.
Jean was born on September 27, 1934, at the Glens Falls Hospital, the daughter of Alfred DelSignore and Helen (Lupo) DelSignore of Glens Falls. Her paternal grandparents, Panfilo and Rosario (Rinella) DelSignore had a very large part in bringing her up and giving her Christian values, and she remained a lifelong Roman Catholic.
Jean graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1952. While in high school, she excelled in business studies and her teacher recommended her to work at Carson Duffy, a local insurance agency while still in school. She continued there after graduation because of her secretarial and short hand skills.
Jean was also on the High School bowling and basketball teams and was a faithful fan of all her high school teams. She also made Junior Prom Court, and in 1955 was voted in as Queen of the Glens Falls Policemen's Ball by over 1000 participants. Besides the local celebrations, she was given a trip to New York City where she went with her husband, Anthony Sr.
While in high school in 1949 she started dating Anthony Trello, Sr (Tony) and they married in 1953 at St. Mary's Church in Glens Falls. They were happily married for over 60 years until his passing in 2014. Whatever they did, it was hand in hand, side by side, experiencing the joys of happiness and the heartbreak of sadness together. They raised a beautiful family that grew with grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored and they all loved. Jean always saw the good in people, was always forgiving and understanding, and never put herself first.
Jean was instrumental in running the family business, Trello's Market in Hudson Falls alongside her husband. She also worked side-by-side with her mother-in-law, Mary Trello, to build and sustain a full service, upscale laundry, Mary's Quality Laundry in the 1960's. And again, when her husband began selling Mutual Funds, she helped him get licensed, assembled portfolios, worked appointments with him, and helped him achieve the Regional Top Salesman Award. Jean partnered with her husband and lifelong friends, Mike and Gail Simione, to restart the Hudson Falls Greenjackets semi-pro football team in the '60's, who always had winning records and packed Derby Park with thousands of fans every weekend.
Later, when beepers and cell phones came about, Jean ran a business at the Aviation Mall and achieved many awards for outstanding customer service and sales.
Jean and Tony were also licensed in Real Estate sales. Jean's sales were enough for three trips to Italy, where they met distant relatives who took them in as if they knew them forever, and saw all the sights in multiple cities. They personally met both Pope John and Pope Benedict. Jean loved to travel, and besides the trips to Italy, she visited all the East Coast states, Atlantic City, Oklahoma, Las Vegas, and loved to travel to NYC for a Broadway show, the Rocketts, a Yankees or Giants game, Christmas in the Big Apple, or just to sightsee.
Her professional careers kept her very busy, but she never neglected family, raising her three children and giving them a house that was Home. Her gentle words and soothing nature helped their children to understand what love and compassion was all about. Her life was always about "family first". Jean loved hosting parties at home. She was a great cook and nobody went home hungry!
Jean and Tony were known to be top line dressers, always dressed to the tee and making a wonderful couple. Jean always enjoyed keeping up with the latest high fashion and new styles. They enjoyed the Big Bands, were the best dancers and could really tear up the floor and even joined and exclusive dance group called the Cosmopolitan Club.
She also enjoyed boating and water skiing on Lake George, did some snow skiing in NY and Vermont at the beckon of husband Tony even though she wasn't a fan of dangling high on the chair lifts.
Jean loved her family dearly, as they loved her. She was the best mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother a family could ever ask for. Her husband Tony always reminded us how blessed we were that God sent us an angel, and now she is in Heaven with Jesus and dancing again with Tony. She will be forever missed.
Jean is survived by her three children, Cynthia Chard (fiancée John Brown), Anthony Jr (wife Tammy), and Terri Flewelling (fiancée James Lemery); grandchildren, Jesica Turner, Tom Chard II (Patrick Roach), Jasmine McLaughlin (Lori), Todd Chard (fiancé, Angie Lyn Moore), and Anthony M. Trello (Tori), Elicia Maietta (Ross), and Desirae Flewelling, Brennon Soules, Nathan Flewelling; a special mention for Nicole Brown Richardson who is every bit part of the family; great-grandchildren, Emily Turner (fiancée Nathan Egan), Tyler and Paul Krusko, Abigal "Abby" Chard, Anthony "TJ" Trello III, Elijah Maietta, Zavion Soules and Ashlynn Soules and two more on the way. Jean is also survived by sisters, Maria and Linda (DelSignore) Barlow; brother, Mark DelSignore; and sister-in-law, Barbara DelSignore (wife of Alfred Jr); as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Among those passing before Jean were her loving husband, Anthony, Sr,; her father and mother, Alfred and Helen (Lupo) DelSignore; her step-mother, Betty (Bailey) DelSignore; her most loving grandparents, Panfilo and Rosario DelSignore; her brothers, Alfred Jr. and Richard DelSignore; sisters, Gloria DelSignore, Carol Ann (DelSignore) Beams, Patricia (DelSignore) Ross; several aunts and uncles, especially, Mary Purdy, Rose and Rico Michelucci, and Aunt Celia; as well as several other relatives and friends.
