HUDSON FALLS – Patrick D. Duffany, 42, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Born January 29, 1984, in Glens Falls, he was the son of Mark E. and Pamela J. (Havens) Duffany.
Patrick was a 2002 Hudson Fall High School graduate.
Following graduation, he attended ACC and graduated from SUNY Polytechnic Institute with his Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
In his late teens, he was a proud member of the Fort Edward Rescue Squad.
Following college graduation, Patrick immediately went to work for CDM Smith, Inc. out of Latham as an Environmental Consulting Engineer. He dedicated 17 years to the company.
Patrick loved fixing anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed family game nights playing board games. He loved camping in Lake George and Moreau.
Most of all, Patrick loved to watch silly videos and laugh.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents: Floyd and Betty (Nicholson) Havens and his paternal grandparents: Nelson and Venita (Mumblo) Duffany.
Patrick is also predeceased by his wife, Sara M. (Chase) Duffany, who passed away in 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer, and his faithful German Shepherd, Abby.
Survivors include his parents: Mark and Pamela Duffany of Hudson Falls; his brother, Jonathan Duffany (Lyndsey Wanits) of Hudson Falls; his aunt, Valerie Blake; uncle, Kevin Blake of Canaan, N.H.; his cousin, Nathan Blake of New Hampshire; his former wife and best friend, Kaitlin (Kelly) Duffany of Troy; and his longtime friend, Brett Eney of Plattsburgh.
In following Patrick's wishes, there will be no calling hours.
Patrick will be laid to rest with his maternal grandparents in Union Cemetery in the town of Fort Edward in the future. The date and time will be announced in the near future.
