Sandra Bachleda Obituary

Sandra Quackenbush Bachleda passed away peacefully after battling years of illnesses, on March 5, 2026, at her daughter, Tammy Fuller VanDusen's home in Ridge Manor, Fla., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born August 26, 1951, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., to Richard Quackenbush and Evelyn Lafountain Quackenbush.

She was a spit fire with a huge heart, a devoted mother, and nurturing spirit.

She loved baking cookies and making holiday dinners for her family, crafting, and going yard sailing and antiquing, and spending time with family. She never forgot a birthday or holiday no matter what.

She is survived by sister, Susan Quackenbush Cook, married to Dan Cook; sister-in-law, Debbie Quackenbush, her children, Kimberly Fuller Wasiewicz, married to Kenneth Wasiewicz, William Fuller III, engaged to Robin Gernigin and Tammy Fuller VanDusen; her grandchildren, Chelsey Fuller Brown, engaged to Cody Lewis, William Fuller, married to Makayla Renee Fuller, Sylas VanDusen and Nicolai VanDusen. Great-grandchildren, Xavier Brown, Aurora Brown, Ivy Brown and Scarlett Lewis. Great-niece and nephew, Sarah Sorheim and Shane Sorheim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Evelyn Quackenbush; and her brother, Richard Quackenbush "Dickie."

A service will be held at a later date at the Gansevoort Cemetery in Gansevoort, N.Y.
