Roger Wagner Obituary
He was born August 25, 1951, in Statesville, NC, to the late David Cecil Wagner and Marie Beaver Wagner. Mr. Wagner was a graduate of East Rowan High School and was employed with Norfolk Southern for 35 years as an Engineer. He was a member of Liberty Community Church in Gold Hill. Mr. Wagner enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing, often traveling far and wide for those trips.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Peeler.
Roger is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy Hamilton Wagner, whom he married July 3, 1971; his children, Dale Wagner (Amanda), Mike Wagner (Janet), Tara Higgs (Brian), and Kara Wagner; eight grandchildren, Courtney Barringer (Rob), Bryson Wagner, Erica Wagner, Danni Moore, Madison Bermudez, Katie Wagner, Chase Higgs, and Brooklyn Higgs; brothers, D.D. Wagner and Steve Wagner; and best friend, Paul Gibson.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM on Saturday, February 14, at Liberty Community Church in Gold Hill.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, at the church, with the Reverend Charlie Curtis officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Glenn A Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Boulevard, Salisbury, NC 28144.

I my sympathies to the Wagner Family on the loss of Roger, I worked with Roger on the Railroad and he was always a pleasure to be around plus he made some good deer jerky.
