Aaron Nuvy Obituary

January 21, 2004 - January 11,2015. Our precious love Aaron went to be with Jesus after a year long battle with Acute Meyloid Leukemia. Aaron was born in Melbourne, Florida and moved to Cortez in May of 2013. He was a student at Lighthouse Christian Academy. Aaron loved playing his Electric Guitar and was the first ever to serenade his nurses on the Bone Marrow Transplant floor at Children's Hospital Colorado. He was also an avid X Box player who would always win in competitive playing. Aaron touched many peoples lives, and his parents and doctors were always amazed at his strength, his heart, and his love for everyone else. Shortly before Aaron passed away, Make A Wish of Colorado was able to grant his wish of receiving a White golden Retriever Puppy whom he named Jack Frost. Aaron is survived by his parents Dan and Carla Nuvy of Cortez. Brothers Zack Nuvy of Gainsville, Florida and Cameron Nuvy of Pensacola, Florida Grandmother Carol Nuvy of Cortez. Memorial service will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church at 11502 Hwy 145, Cortez, Co. In lieu of flowers, we request that you donate "In Aaron Nuvy's Memory" to Brent's Place, 11980 East Sixteenth Ave, Aurora, Colorado 80010.

My sincerest sympathies in the loss of Aaron... I can only imagine your pain.... The only comfort is knowing he is with Jesus now.... The Lord knew Aaron was going to need Carla as mommy in his life... and now Dan and Carla have each other to comfort one another. God bless you both as you move on in your lives...

Carla and family,

Although I did not ever get to meet Aaron, he is an angel. My heart is breaking for you and I would trade the little guy places if I could. Just keeping up on Facebook, he was a sweetheart. My heart and prayers are with you and will be.

Aaron was a sweet kid with a ton of talent. I am going to miss him. I feel lucky our paths crossed, even in a hard time he was a positive young man. He made a difference in others lives. He set an example of courage that will remind me of him forever. John ps He is forever a Blue Star kid.

Aaron fought a great battle and came out the winner -although not what we hoped for. Praying that Gods peace will fill your family as you walk through these difficult days and you feel Aaron smiling down on you with thanks for all your love and support. I am so glad he had such a precious mom and dad!!!-Katie Posey
